Oakwell Animal Hospital and BarkBound Daycare and Boarding are deeply saddened by the damage caused by Hurricane Helene in our state and surrounding areas. Many of our commerades in petcare have recieved significant damage and are in need of our community right now. Oakwell and BarkBound are utilizing the Oakwell Angel Fund to collect donations for those wanting to give back. We will identify local needs and attempt to give back as much as possible. In true Volunteer State spirit, we know we’ll come together to make a difference. Let’s show our support and give these animals and pet families hope for a brighter future.

University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine is serving as the lead for animal-related supplies and that includes pets as well as livestock. Square bales. Think square bales.
Unicoi County Animal Shelter
Unicoi County Animal Shelter saved all their animals but lost everything else. Everything. They have started a gofundme to help with the rebuilding process.
Appalachian Highlands Humane Society
Appalachian Highlands Humane Society out of Johnson City is currently organizing volunteers and donations to assist with pet food and supply distribution to residents of surrounding counties. Check them on out FB or donate directly on their website.
The Animal Shelter of Sullivan County
The Animal Shelter of Sullivan County is helping Unicoi Animal Shelter with supplies as soon as they are ready! They are taking donations at the shelter as well as online.
Friends of Greeneville-Greene County TN Humane Society
Friends of Greeneville-Greene County TN Humane Society needs water, paper towels, pet food, and used blankets/sheets/towels. Property Advisors located at 104 Sam Doak St. Greeneville, TN 37745, is accepting donations on behalf of the Greeneville-Greene County Humane Society, but you can also donate on their website.
Fleet of Angels
Fleet of Angels is working to coordinate transports to drops for equine-related feed and supplies. If you have something to donate please provide the requested information in this database. Hurricane victims needing feed and supplies for their horses are being directed to this database, as are donation drop managers.
Tennessee Department of Agriculture
Tennessee Department of Agriculture is advising farmers that it is is critical for you to contact your LOCAL emergency management agency to notify them of your situation and resources desired.
