Microchipping

A microchip is a great way to permanently identify your pet in the event that they are ever lost. Checking for a microchip is the first step for any veterinarian or shelter when intaking a found pet and many lost friends are happily reunited with their owners this way.

Microchipping is a low-cost way of providing your information to veterinarians and animal shelters to help ensure a happy reunion.

This is accomplished by a simple, minimally invasive procedure where a microchip the size of a grain of rice is placed right under your pet’s skin. It stays there for life and can be detected with a handheld microchip reader.

Once we register the microchip into the database, your pet’s information can be looked up nationwide!
